Using Phillips’ brand voice, I transformed a white label app. I created brand guidelines to implement image and typography standards as well as custom iconography. This initial project revealed other touch points in the business that would benefit from digital enhancement.

Project Goals

• Browse upcoming auctions
• Place advanced bids
• Increase client engagement

Typeface

We were locked into Avenir because of budget constraints and perimeters from our technology vendor. Within this framework, I created a clean hierarchy of information.

Type Styles

I created a system of type styles that matched our brand voice using the entire Avenir font family. With the right hierarchy, one typeface can be made to feel robust.

Colors

The overall design system for Phillips was black and white. The use of color came into play in the auction bidding experience. We added colors to the system for alerts and notifications, staying true to the brand.

Iconography

Across the app, icons were used to consolidate information, the artwork to breathe. Anchoring the information at a glance allowed the details to stand out.
